Humble Beginnings: Learn how Balay started
Balay began with a simple purpose
Before coffee, it started with cold-pressed juice—created to help ease inflammation at home, and later shared within the neighborhood during the second year of the pandemic. As time went on, it became clear that cold-pressed juice served a niche, and something more sustainable was needed.
During those same days, coffee became a daily ritual. What started as routine turned into curiosity, then into exploration—learning, brewing, and slowly building the idea of something more.
That’s when Balay took shape.
Named from where it all began, Balay was built from the simple idea of starting at home. From selling cold brew within a familiar space, the name became a reflection of its roots—personal, humble, and grounded in its beginnings.
The journey carried its roots forward—keeping “Juice” as a quiet nod to where it all started. Over time, coffee became the heart of Balay, guided by the same intention: to create something honest and comforting.
Now in its fourth year, Balay continues to grow with its community.
